Flammenwerk GmbH is a Swiss company specialising in premium fireplace stoves, and they approached me to present their range through a modern, professional online store. From the very beginning the client made it clear that they wanted a solution built on Shopify, so I set up the entire project on that platform — from building the store and structuring the product catalogue to integrating payments, connecting the domain and preparing everything for marketing. The goal was a reliable shop tailored to the Swiss market that the client could later run independently.

I built the store on the Shopify Streamline theme, which I adapted to the Flammenwerk identity so that the focus stays on the products themselves and on the emotional experience of fire and a warm home. The design is fully responsive and works equally well on desktops, tablets and mobile phones, which is especially important for this kind of visually driven product. Throughout the site I kept a clean, clear structure that quickly guides the customer from the homepage to the specific stove that suits them.

For the homepage I also produced an intro video that plays in the hero section and immediately conveys the atmosphere of a living fire and a warm home, so the site makes a strong, emotional impression within the first few seconds and draws the customer into the brand's story before they even start browsing the range.

Since this is the Swiss market, I set the store up as multilingual, in German, French and Italian, so the company can serve customers from all language regions of Switzerland on equal footing. Each language is applied consistently across products, navigation and legal pages, giving the store the feel of a serious local brand rather than an improvised solution.

The product catalogue is organised into several clear lines so customers can navigate according to their needs. The Power line is intended for heating large spaces with high thermal output, the Comfort line offers balanced models that are easy for everyday use, while the Design line focuses on stoves where aesthetics and the visual impression of the space take centre stage. Alongside the stoves, the range is rounded off by a Slow-Cooking line of cast iron products, extending the offering to those who want to put the fire to use in the kitchen as well.

I paid special attention to how the products are structured. Every stove has a detailed description with technical specifications, but I also entered those same key specifications into metafields in parallel, so customers can filter the range by real parameters while the product description stays complete and untouched. This lets the customer quickly narrow down the selection by what matters to them, while still getting the full information needed to make a purchase decision.

For checkout I integrated Wallee, a payment solution tailored to the Swiss market, covering all the relevant cards such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Discover and JCB. This makes the buying process secure, fast and aligned with what Swiss customers expect, with no unnecessary friction at the payment step.

I connected the flammenwerk.ch domain to the store through the DNS settings on Hostpoint, so the site runs correctly under the company's own address with proper redirects in place. This gave the store a professional, recognisable presence under its own brand instead of a generic Shopify address.

Beyond the sales side, I also created all the supporting content and legal pages a serious Swiss online store needs. These include a page for the showroom in Oberuzwil with an invitation to expert in-person consultation, an About Us page, contact details, and the mandatory legal pages such as the terms and conditions (AGB), the privacy policy and the imprint. The site also clearly highlights selling points such as free shipping within Switzerland, a four-year warranty and high A+ energy efficiency, which builds customer trust and reinforces the brand's premium positioning.

Alongside the store, I put together a PDF catalogue of the entire product range for the client — cleanly designed and ready to send — which Flammenwerk can forward to its customers and business partners directly by email, without having to point them to the website each time. This gives the company a practical sales asset that works just as well in direct communication and away from the web shop.

Finally, I prepared the store for visibility on the market. I set up Google Search Console to track and index the site in search, and launched a Google Ads campaign so that Flammenwerk could start attracting its first visitors and potential customers. The result of the whole project is a complete, multilingual and technically sound Shopify store that faithfully represents a premium range of fireplace stoves and that the client can maintain and expand on their own.
